BETWEEN THE DIVINE AND THE HUMAN
Description
Between the divine and the human is a brilliant work by Tolstoy unpublished in Spanish, a story woven of love, obstructed by the prevailing pride and classism, of forced ambitions and prosperity, of self-inflicted torments, of fears, of the belief in faith in God who sees everything and punishes those who do not act according to his Scriptures and, in this way, live in fear and with the purpose of paying off their sins. But above all, of the inner struggle that every human being waged in response to progress and education, intelligence and hope. It is already known that what we do as a child we do not easily let go of old age. That is why childhood education is so important.
Author
Leo Tolstoy (1828 - 1910). The talent of this deep and versatile Russian writer penetrated the deepest corners of the society of his time to illuminate those gloom and bring to light the spirit that animated his contemporaries. Tolstoy's soul underwent profound modifications; but still young, entertained in his double capacity as a brilliant writer and a brave soldier and requested by the high society of Saint Petersburg, he could not escape the environment and the temptations that surrounded him more than in part. He opened a school in Yasnaia, which he later expanded, essentially free, admitting all kinds of students; but among these, of course, the peasants predominated. The education was absolutely free, the children could enter and leave the premises whenever they wanted and they were not subjected to any punishment, but the Government closed them after two years of operation. Discouraged by failure and sick more in spirit than in body, he gave himself up to the quiet and peaceful life of the steppe, in order to regain spiritual peace. From that time dates "War and Peace" that enshrined the glory of Tolstoy, not only in Russia, but throughout Europe.
